CONCLUSION
What more is there to say? I started “The Job Seekers Guide” at the point where unemployment had arrived, or was about to arrive, on your doorstep. As we progressed I have tried to foresee as many of the hurdles as I am aware of to put YOU, the “The Job Seeker” in as strong a position as possible to help you secure a job.“The Job Seekers Guide” is not the complete answer. It only scratches the surface of the problem and I am all too aware of the fact.
What “The Job Seekers Guide” does, or I hope it does, is to set the candidate aside from the mainstream of people who find themselves in this unfortunate position and who, without previous experience of the problem, do not know how to go about looking for a new position and with that new position a new direction in life.Being out of work is not the end of life as we know it. It only seems so at the time.
Being out of work should be looked upon as an opportunity to begin again. For me leaving a job for whatever reason, getting fired, or more usually because I was bored or simply not stretched, was always an exciting time, something new, something to get my teeth into. Certainly this restless attitude has brought with it more than its fair share of problems: from my early days as an apprentice bricklayer when I would venture into the house wondering how mother would take the news that I was once again changing jobs, to the look on my wife's face through the kitchen window when I walked up the drive instead of driving up, having told yet another employer where to put the company car.
For all that it's been a good life and still is. My current plan as I approach retirement is to swing fully over to being my own master running my own company full time.
I have another book in the pipeline and a bundle of ideas that will last me well into the future. Don't worry - I'll let you know as soon as they are ready.
All that is left for me to do is to urge you once again to follow the plan. Build yourself a “The Job Seekers Guide” structure and stick to it. Work your plan.
The very best of luck to you, thank you for buying my work and -
GOODBYE AND GOOD JOB HUNTING
